Woodworking 2

Available to grades: 9,10,11,12
Prerequisites: Woodworking 1

Woodworking 2 is a basic cabinet and furniture construction course. The selection and design of furniture, different types of joint construction, and panel construction are explored. Wood turning as well as spray finishing is integrated in the furniture making. Occupations related to cabinetmaking and construction are explored throughout the course. Students may elect to start Woodworking 2 at the beginning of second semester consecutive with Woodworking 1. This course has course fees, additional costs for selected projects and requires approved safety glasses with side shields.
